With more than 18 years of experience in the food industry, Rafael Fernandes is Head of R&D at Cerealto, a global company in the agri-food sector that is dedicated to the development and manufacture of cereal derivatives products for retail and food brand companies.
Rafael currently works at the Food Innovation and Development Center (Imasdea) based in Spain for 8 years, leading development teams, managing large scale projects, innovation projects, leading the process technology team in different factories in the Europe, for the evolution of the biscuit and snack portfolio with more than 50 products launched in recent years in different categories such as shortbread, crackers, chocolate, filled, sandwiches, snacks, breakfast biscuits, sugar-free, oatmeal, waffles, organic and premium range, cookies, among others, for different clients.
